NAOMI GOLAN: ISRAEL FASHION ART 1948-2008: OVER 400 STUNNING PICS.

Hi, today I would like to express my appreciation to senior lifestyle writer Naomi Gutking-Golan for a great article she published in yesterday's Makor Rishon newspaper about "ISRAEL
FASHION ART 1948-2008" album-book". In her article Naomi writes that "the author shows a very deep approach and a very wide scope of knowledge regarding the connection between garments and culture.....add to it over 400 stunning color photos and you'll realise why the book is recommended not only to fashionistas but also to visual culture lovers and to people with artistic and esthetic sensitivities .

Naomi illustrates her article with a lovely Fini Leitersdorf creation for Maskit from the chapter devoted to the use of coins in fashion since the Yemenite and Beduine coin embelished garments to a present-day a-symetric red carpet style gown designed by Shai Shalom. The Maskit picture was taken by Peter Hertsog for a 1968 Export Institute fashion cataloge cover.
